Va Va Voom
Oh this Renault Clio Renaultsport Silverstone GP edition certainly has plenty of va va voom. It's number 15 of 50 units built in 2011. It's based on the Renault Cup 200 racing (have you seen the racing? They are 36kg lighter than a normal Clio, with a naturally aspirated engine, unique to it silver, has 17" alloy wheels, Recaro sports seats and cup chassis suspension. New it was five quid short of £20,000 with standard fit Recaro supportive seats (£850 optional extra normally), numbered plaque and mats.
The grill, roof and door mirrors are finished in matt black. The big pull is the renaultsport monitor which records g-forces, lap speeds and 0-62mph times. Auto lights, keyless entry, cruise control, bluetooth are all part of the package. No optional extras here.
What's it like to drive:
Driving it on the Suffolk rural roads, it doesn't roll or move which is part of the cup chassis suspension and sits tight. On a track day it'll be "just one more go" and chuck it around, it won't come to any harm I've not driven on a track nor did the previous lady owner.
